Laura Linney was one of the most renowned American actors to emerge from the past. Her powerful and flimsy roles has made her a household name. In the summer, while working with her father's business Laura Linney was captivated with the theatre. Later in her time at Brown University she studied acting and at Juilliard School, after which she began her acting career. When she graduated at Brown University in the year 2000, she began making her Broadway debut in the following year. After two years of this, her first feature film hit the market, and next year she made her television debut. In the years since, she's performed in many films and TV and stage productions. She's been nominated for three Oscar Awards, five Tony Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), as well as received numerous awards over her career. She has been nominated for five Tony Awards as well as three Oscar Award nominations. But, in spite of her awards and accolades, the theatre is still her passion and she'll continue to act on both stage and screen.
