April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. in seventh grade. She began playing guitar and piano lessons which ignited her love for songwriting. April's first song was Different, which she wrote at 12 years of age. She spent lots of time at 14 composing songs and experimenting with the piano. After a while, she began to travel with her dad as well as write her songs either in NY as well as LA. April also began to include additional topics that were related to of her peers who are dealing with such things as social pressure and teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take my Hand. Lockhart has her own following and also works as an online lifestyle blogger for the well-known Ilia Clean Beauty brand. Her disability is a part of her persona, however it's not all of the picture. Because of this, her Instagram page doesn't shy away from her disability, but it doesn't center around the issue neither. What message is it sending? We all have multiple aspects of identities and that we're much greater than the physical person we are. It's not my intention to let that be the only thing that defines me. She is able to wear anything she likes, and proudly shares photos of her dressed in her favorite outfits. What makes self-love so appealing to her is the fact that it's not a destination. However, that is the case with anyone that is prone to doubts. It is important to have people around you who are aware of and appreciate your situation. They'll be the ones to ask what you think about?
