Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being recognized with 10/10 scores at an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics trainer who later became her coach later on, discovered her at age six. The first time she competed at the national junior championships in 1969 placing 13th and she won the competition in 1970. At her first international contest in 1972, she came out on top having won three golds. The athlete won four golds and one silver medals in her first international competition for seniors, held in 1975. It was the first time she competed as an older senior. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman in history to complete a backward double salto as dismounting from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she began her career in the entertainment business as a performer as figure skater. Together with her brother Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her journey into the entertainment business during her teenage years. Her first professional gig was figure skating alongside Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment show Ice Capades. It featured dramatic ice-skating shows.
