Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically-acclaimed performance of charming and naive characters. Adams was the youngest of seven children who lived as a young child in the city of Castle Rock, Colorado. Adams was born when her father worked in the U.S. Military in Italy. The early 1990s were when Adams began dancing professionally with the Boulder Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. Then she moved to an area theatre in Minnesota which was where she got her first role in a mock documentary film about beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Her screen debut was a huge success, in which she played an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet moved to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. From June 1951 until September 1962, she got married to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's career in film began in the mid- 1940s, after she was hired by MGM. Her name was noticed by Norma shearer. Over the course of the 1960s, Leigh appeared in a variety of films, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
